The Primary Class is a three-year program, which includes the Kindergarten year. Each child is taught individually and works at his or her own pace. Students receive lessons and real-life, hands-on activities that teach a wide range of skills and concepts, including reading and writing, math, geography, science, social studies, foreign languages, music, and art.
In the afternoon, younger children go to the nap room, where they have quiet time and a rest. The non-nappers have outdoor playtime, and additional class time. The afternoon classes also have a weekly piano class and “Crazy Science.” A child must be fully potty-trained before entering the Primary class.
Our Primary Class is also the ideal environment for children who are ready to learn, but have missed the Sept. 1 age cutoff for other programs.
